2 cups all-purpose
flour
3/4 teaspoon baking
soda
1 teaspoon ground
cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup butter, at
room temperature
1 cup granulated
sugar
2 large eggs
2/3 cup golden
raisins
1/2 cup chestnuts,
chopped
Preheat the oven to 350
degrees F. Grease two baking sheets.
Combine the flour,
baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream
the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs. Gradually blend in the dry
ingredients. Fold in the raisins and chestnuts.
Drop the dough by
spoonfuls 1-1/2 inches apart onto the prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12
minutes, until lightly colored. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
